Start early: Begin planning your wedding day timeline as early as possible. This will give you plenty of time to make adjustments and ensure that everything is in place before the big day.

Logistics & Travel

Work with your suppliers: Reach out to your vendors, including your photographer, caterer, and DJ, to determine how much time they need to set up and complete their services. This will help you establish a realistic timeline for your wedding day. You cannot decide on a wedding day timeline without this info from your suppliers.

Consider your ceremony and reception venues: Think about the locations of your ceremony and reception and how long it will take to travel between them. Be sure to factor in any potential traffic or parking issues. If for instance you are getting married at a church, and then are travelling to your venue, trust me when I say that you need to allocate more time than you think is necessary for this transition.

Build in extra time: It's always a good idea to build in a little extra time throughout the day to account for any unexpected delays or issues that may arise. This is so important, as you don't want to feel rushed on your special day. Simply put, things just take longer than expected, no matter how strict you aim to be with timings, you always need that buffer.

communication & flexibility

Communicate with your wedding party: Make sure your wedding party knows the schedule for the day so they can be ready and on time for any photos or other events. Those extra helping hands throughout the day go such a long way towards making your day flow in a more seamless way.

And finally, Be flexible: I cannot express the importance of remaining flexible on your wedding day. While it's important to have a plan in place, it's also important to be flexible and willing to make adjustments if necessary. There are so many factors that need to align during a wedding celebration, so remaining flexible will just allow for all of these elements to slot into place easier than having strict timings.
