Old Gore summer wedding
banquet tables + blue bouquets

If you're planning a late summer WEDDING near cirencester, then you'll love this old gore wedding for inspiration

Laura + Tom | 18th September 2022

an informal, family filled, cotswold wedding,
styled with blue florals, bud vases & polaroids

If you’re looking to celebrate your late summer wedding in Gloucestershire, then Old Gore should be a contender in your search. Old Gore provides a modern twist on a traditional Cotswold barn setting, showcasing a contemporary rustic two part barn, surrounded by scenic Cirencester landscapes. Set among the rolling hills of Gloucestershire, Old Gore is a newer Cotswold wedding venue, and a great choice for those looking to celebrate with epic food, friends and family.

Laura and Tom went for a quick and informal ceremony, however full of emotion as well as a lot of laughter. Guests were invested, and the happiness between Laura and Tom was evident in every word spoken. Their ceremony certainly set the tone for their relaxed and easy going wedding vibe.

To follow: An epic confetti exit, beers and nibbles, hilarious speeches, incredible food, champagne sprays at sunset, fire pits, live band, sparklers, dance off's, photobooth, cake and more.

Old Gore was styled with long banquet tables, which were decorated with dotted bud vases and Polaroids. The bud vases held beautiful blue flowers, to match those found in the bridal bouquets, alongside snap shot images of Laura and Tom throughout the years. Almost telling a little story as you moved down the table. Their décor, colour scheme and overall style was kept refined and elegant, allowing their favourite people to fill the space with extra colour and of course endless joy. Fire pits set a cosy atmosphere as the sun set, and as the evening rolled in guests spilled out into the calm of the summers evening. Being made to feel like a part of the family, I could have spent hours photographing such a gorgeous wedding group.

To top off an incredible day, Laura and Tom danced through a sparkler exit, hand in hand, with a drink in the other. They had everyone smiling from ear to ear lighting up the night with a frenzy of sparkles.  A fantastic way to kick start their Old Gore Yard Space Events wedding party. And of course an opportunity for magical photographs that was not to be missed. These two were so much fun to photograph throughout their Old Gore celebrations. Always bringing the good vibes, happy to go with the flow, and importantly they allowed me the freedom to capture their story in the beautiful way it deserved.

All in all, Laura and Tom created a Cotswold wedding which was thoughtful towards all their guests, inclusive of their rural yet modern surroundings, with a nod to their own personalities through subtle touches too. A seamless balance of love, fun, friends, and family, who joined them in dancing the night away, right until the very end. Exactly as a wedding celebration should be.

This Old Gore wedding was an absolute pleasure to capture. It’s such a modern meets rustic venue and I’m so excited to be back there as one of their recommended suppliers very soon. In the meantime, please enjoy the story of Laura and Tom's fun filled celebrations.

Big Hugs, Em x
